If you look very carefully you will see Dana in her first ever movie in 1966, singing and playing her guitar.


Dana wrote and sang a song for this curious film made in 1966 about the famous Windmill Theatre, who's slogan was "We Never Close".

The Lost Continent

Released in 1968 The Lost Continent was directed by Michael Carreras and starred Eric Porter and Charles Houston. Dana played the part of Sarah. The film gives the effect of a medium budget comic-strip but with action, heroes and yummy females. It's a fun movie from start to finish and a great watch if you're marooned in the Sargasso Sea or stranded in your living room on a Sunday afternoon!


Released in 1974 Mahler featured Robert Powell and Georgina Hale and was directed by Ken Russell. Dana appeared as Anna von Mildenburg, Mahler's mistress. She also wrote a song for the soundtrack "Alma's Song". The film takes the form of a flashback, as the Mahler's take a train journey, Gustav Mahler looks back over his life as interpreted by Ken Russell.

People That Time Forgot

Undoubtedly her most famous movie Dana was cast in the role of Ajar, a native girl from pre-history. The People That Time Forgot was released in 1977 and featured Doug McClure plus a cast that also included Patrick Wayne and Sarah Douglas. Directed by Kevin Connor the film is the sequel to The Land That Time Forgot as a rescue party is organised to go to the Antartic to find a missing person.


A classic "womens prison" film and Mai Zetterling's last production. From 1983, Dana starred as the prison warden. Cell Block-H meets Scum!

The Hound of the Baskervilles

This 1977 version of the Conan Doyle classic starred Dana as Frankland's girlfriend. Dana recalls standing on the moor with Dudley Moore firmly wedged into her cleavage. The film also featured Peter Cook, Denholm Elliott and Irene Handl amongst many others.

Bad Timing

A 1980 film from Nicolas Roeg featuring Dana as the girlfriend of the leading man Art Garfunkel. A dark erotic study of several unsympathetic characters. The film also starred Theresa Russell, Harvey Keitel and Denholm Elliott.

Sink or Swim

A film from 1976 that starred Dana, the late Roy Kinner & Chris Langham.


From 1984 this movie, directed by Jim Goddard, was a classic detective who-dunnit and starred Hannelore Elsner & Cheri Lunghi alongside Dana.


A love affair with a twist, this 1989 film was directed by David Hare. Along with Dana were Blair Brown and Bruno Ganz in the cast.

Byron's Mine!

A 1992 short film directed by Nick McCann featured Dana as a medium in Byron's life.

Theatre and TV

Dana has made numerous appearances on the London stage and on TV in the UK. Stage appearances include Jesus Christ Superstar, The Tempest, Tommy, Cinderella and two one-woman shows Cora and The Dirtiest Blues In Town.Her numerous TV appearances have included Ready Steady Go, Little & Large and Seaside Special. Sit coms include 'Til Death Us Do Part and Mum's Boys. More recently she has been on Pebble Mill and TV AM, William Tell, The Bill and Sunday Pursuit.
